DURING A SESSION

The emotional body is the truth of who you are at a feeling level. It contains the imprint of the emotional aspects of your memories as well as your current emotional state. The bridge between our physical selves and thinking selves.

Our thoughts are converted into feeling impressions, the physical body then interprets those feelings as if translating the message. These feelings and messages are then what we call emotions.

Over the course of our life we have denied or pushed away certain emotions or feelings as it was unsafe or too vulnerable to express them at the time. To heal these aspects we must be willing to address these feelings and emotions.

These can be both negative and positive.
Some examples: rage, love, abandonment, fear, irritation, sadness, grief, happiness, joy, helplessness, sorrow, disgust, calm, happiness, anxiety, craving, confusion.

This space allows you to embrace your emotions and feelings no matter how painful, uncomfortable or light  they may be. Completely be present with the emotions, learn from them, hear what they want you to hear, see what they want you to see. To be fully present with them without asking them to change.

Allowing yourself to feel these suppressed emotions that long so badly to be seen and integrated.

The feeling body specialises in feeling - feeling is not only about emotion it's also sensation and insight.

It's important to remember that you maintain full awareness throughout the session. If the intensity of emotions or sensations becomes overwhelming at any point, you can always open your eyes, sit up, take a break, or even visit the bathroom. You are safe and conscious and can navigate the session according to your comfort and well-being.

Not feeling anything?
All is ok! An invitation to consciously work on being more present both during and between sessions. Emotion that's been stored for a long time can be guarded with self built armor, coping mechanisms and protection. Also bringing big expectations, falling asleep, spinning in a trauma loop is a way the mind can get into a wheel of distraction and dissociation and an exploration within one self to understand why there may be resistance to feeling your emotions. Leanne shares more on this topic in the session's confirmation email.
